Ectars' on form again...

Along with him next door... I think they're talking bollocks again..

How can a so called professional gaming company, with "community co-ordinators" (pmsl), Feedback sections etc etc, say they can't possibly do and Q&A because of all the language issues..

Yet somewhow they can force everyone to speak english in game..
..somehow they can translate the competitions into a dozen languages...

And as many have said.. the translations are normally done by the players not WG anyway...
(the excuse about getting exactly the right translation is bullshit... see your own published stuff.. its shit)

Why was the old one stopped?
"This was actually stopped due to player feedback because players the feedback we got was how the answers were short and didn't go into detail"

For a start, try wording stuff correctly..

but mainly, "the answers were short and didn't go into detail"

Que?

Really??

Any answer is better than nothing, any "interaction" is better than nothing...

Try using the model the RU server does... if Serb or whoever thinks you're asking stupid shit you get a 1/7/14 day RO ban on the forums for being a twat.... that would stop all the usual stuff they don't like (MM fails, arty parties, etc), they can be left on normal forum threads which you just ignore anyway...

I like this...

Tanks - How to counter the Siema Hack, and others...

Someone, not WG of course, they're too fooking lazy, has created an anti-spam message filter

By the way: I managed to get rid of 95% of spam and insults by this single line in your config:

"filters": ["noob", "hello", "siema", "clan", "search", "witam",
"pozz", "üdv", "omg", "idiot", "stfu", "wtf"]

A short video of the Russian Object 907 Tier 10 tank.

Sexton

Fast in a straight line - terrain doesnt hinder it very much
Very slow turn speed... VERY.....

Camo seemed good, IIRC very good...

Accuracy in high, the reticule is goes tiny, and quite quickly, even with low crew skills
(6 crew)

moving the artillery sights around doesnt impact on the accuracy much...

In TD mode its terrible.. bounces of anything, and I mean anything, and thats providing you can turn on the target because its so slow at turning

no splash... I know thats obvious.. but on this there is even less spalsh than any other SPG I know of at this level...

Will update when i remember more...

Top Tank Book.... the diary of Tank Commander 1944-45

A book I can highly recommend for an "unusual" angle on tank warfare...

D-Day to Victory: The Diaries of a British Tank Commander by Sgt Trevor Greenwood

A truely real account of what it was like to on a day to day basis, with plenty of funny episodes to lighten the mood...

To quote the blurb:-

"Tank Commander Sgt Trevor Greenwood of C Squadron, the 9th Royal Tank Regiment, sailed for France in June 1944 as part of the Allied invasion of Normandy. From D-Day until April 1945, he kept a daily diary of his experiences of the final push through France and into Germany, often writing in secret and in terrible conditions. Under fire, outgunned and facing a bitter winter, he never loses his moral compass or his sense of humour - finding time to brew tea and maintain morale with characterful British reserve. He writes candidly of his frustration and despair of seeing Bomber Command mistakenly bomb Allied lines near Caen (August 1944), the liberation of Le Havre (September 1944), the fighting around Roosendaal, Holland (October 1944), the reception of soldiers by the Dutch families on whom they were billeted (December 1944), and concludes with 'mopping up' operations in northern Germany (April 1945). His astonishing diary has left us a unique record of the war in Europe from the rarely-seen perspective of an ordinary soldier. An accompanying essay about the tank battles of Normandy by Duxford Museum's tank expert provide added value."

Camo and View range changes

err... bugger.... cant say much ... not much to say..

other than...

"visibility" has been changed and is currently under test...

The "Stalinist" decal affair...

Someone might have changed their mind....

We, *cough*, tested the auto-removal and refund of purchase price of the decal...

It was tested on a "mini-patch" to an 8.4 client..(along with other stuff)
